It’s nearly time! Easter is coming early this year and falls at the end of March. That means two weeks off school for the little folk, and time for mums and dads to spend some quality time with the family. Of course, if you don’t have to worry about the housework, that gives you even more time to enjoy the Spring weather. Why not book a cleaner from us who can take care of all your household chores, whilst you get out there and make the most of it. But where to go? As always, we like to keep our followers up to date with what’s on and where, so here’s a run down of our favourite events taking place over the Easter holiday.
Barleylands Farm in Billericay is one of our favourite spots in Essex to take the kids to. They have lots of things to see and do as well as craft shops to browse in and a restaurant to eat in. During the Easter Holidays from Good Friday on 25th March to Friday 8th April they are offering an ‘egg-strkvaganza’ of activities including lamb bottle feeding, biscuit decorating, an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Easter Bunny, and meet babies galore from cute chicks, piglets, and bunnies to snakes and lizards in the huge Reptile House! You might be lucky enough to see lambs being born too! As always there will also be stacks of fun indoors and outdoors. Bounce on the huge jumping pillow, take a tractor trailer ride, challenge the family at Crazy Farmers Croquet, explore the indoor play barn, bounce on the toddler inflatable and more! Visit there website for more information. www. barleylands.co.uk
Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park is offering a fun packed itinerary of Easter activities this 25th March – 8th April, including Essex’s biggest Easter Egg Hunt! You can also join in the spring madness in their Alice in Wonderland themed Easter Eggstravaganza! Help the Mad Hatter collect tens of thousands of eggs in over 4 acres of Easter themed garden. Meet the Mad Hatter and March Hare as they cause chaos around the farm. The Queen of Hearts will be checking up on everyone, plus meet the White Queen and Cheshire Cat at intervals throughout the day.
As always at Marsh Farm you can meet the newborn lambs and enjoy all the animals, from the perky little piglets, to the bouncy lambs and even chicks and our goat kid Leggy! Make sure you see all of our other wonderful farmyard friends including Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, Ponies, Donkeys, Chickens, Cows, Sheep, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and more. The little ones can also run riot inside the soft Play Barn, take a Tractor and Trailer ride through the country park, build a Den and jump around on the Bouncy Pillows! find out more at www.marshfarm.co.uk
Finally, we really enjoy getting back to nature, and Weald Country Park in Brentwood allows you to do just that. Having undergone recent refurbishments to the play areas and cafe, the park makes for a great day out. This year they are offering their annual Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny has been very busy this year! So busy that he has asked some other woodland friends to help him deliver all the eggs.
They are inviting families to join them for a fun, self guided trail which can be started throughout the day. It is aimed at children between 3 and 12 although everyone will enjoy hunting for eggs, solving puzzles and finding clues. You just simply buy a trail pack from the Visitor Centre and set out on your adventure. Wear sturdy walking shoes and a good coat for any April showers. Not all paths are suitable for buggies so they are encouraging visitors to bring small people in a body carrier. More details can be found at www.visitparks.co.uk for more information.
