2. “Knock” Your Footwear Before Climbing Aboard
Strange as this may sound, giving your shoes a quick and careful knock against the running board or side of your car will help to reduce dirty and muddy carpets. Of course, if you are going somewhere really mucky, like walking the dog in a field for example, keep a spare pair of clean shoes in the boot of your car to change into. Or alternatively, keep a pair of walking or wellington boots in the boot of the car for using outside of the car. Again, getting all of your passengers, even the children, into the habit of doing this will help keep your carpets and upholstery cleaning for longer.
